Boss Capital Broker Review
Boss Capital is a new binary options trading platform, established in 2014, located in Gibraltar. The payout offer is of about 85%, one of the largest there are on the market. Initially its services war meant to cater to professional traders but after all, the system is now opened to everyone. Their minimum initial deposit is $200.
Interface and Design
The first element that automatically pops up from the entire page is the yellow Start Trading button, along with the Up to 85% Profit motto. Marketing wise this is a very good design choice and it surely attracts lots of customers. Unfortunately the trading platform is not so great in comparison with this first feature the site shows us. The interactive graphs are small and the Call and Put buttons not very visible, all seems to be so poorly made and a bit old school. As if there were two separate sections that war joined together later: the upper part: rich and modern and the lower part: poor and outdated. The colors used are calming, blue and yellow being complementary nuances that contribute to the overall neat aspect of the site. Boss Capital has 7 site categories: Home, Open Account, Trade, Trading Academy, FAQ, About Us and Contact. By pressing on Trade you will be taken to the real trading platform, which is bigger and with a better interface, but the main drawback here is that the only way to return to the main page is by hitting the backspace key. So, optimization wise, this is not a good feature, at all. Furthermore the Trading Academy tab offers a nicely designed How To Trade tutorial, filled with screenshots of the site and a 4 step explanation text. Really modern looking and also useful. Overall, Capital Boss has a landing page that is not so appealing at the first glance, but as you access its site categories things start to get better. Unfortunately the first impression is the one that sticks, so in this regard the online broker might lose some impression points from its users.
Usability and Friendliness
When it comes to the user friendly aspect of the site we have already established that once you access the Trading category, the only way to come back to the start page is by clicking on the return button on your browser. Moreover, at a first look, we don’t seem to find anywhere the asset list. Not in the site’s categories, that’s for sure. Only later on, if we scroll until the bottom, do we find the Asset Index. Although it is not hard to find it, we would have still prefered to have it placed more handy in one of the top tabs. Another aspect that bothered us was the fact that somewhere, mid page, there are featured 3 boxes that contain information about Academy, Contact and Quick Start categories that should definitely be not repeated since they exist on the top. This approach is the contrary to user friendly and it creates confusion. The trading methods are doubled as well, first there are only 3 featured: Call/Put, One Touch, Boundary and just below appears one more: Short Term. They are not all placed in one site section, in this way being very unfriendly, both visually and in what regards the usability matter. All in all, Boss Capital has a poorly organized landing page, not user friendly at all and this is bad not only for the customers but for the broker itself. Since the site categories are so well organized, it’s a pity that the start page looks totally different from them because there is no conceptual unity.
- Pretty big payout: 85%
- Various account currencies accepted: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD and RUB
- Comprehensive tutorials, ebooks and webinars
- Nicely looking site categories layout and design
- Trading services also available for the USA
- Inconsistent start page design
- Repeated visual and informational elements
- Going back to the main page only by pressing backspace key
- Not user friendly enough
- The Asset list is only in the site’s footer, not so easy to find at a first look
- Trading options are mentioned twice and vary in number each time
As a final conclusion we may say that Boss Capital is not a bad looking site, the blue-yellow color scheme is pretty appealing in fact. Its landing page, though, looks confusing, and gives the feeling that is composed from two separate sections: the top one: modern and interactive and the bottom one: dull and poorly designed. This binary options broker does feature a US account option which is a positive aspect, it also has multiple currencies available for your account. Overall we can not say that its platform is the worst we have ever seen, but the general idea is that its landing page is the one that shatters all expectations, being so inconsistently designed.
